Since 1997, the Mayor’s Design Awards are presented in an ongoing effort to recognize design excellence throughout the City of Milwaukee. Recipients have added value to their neighborhoods by restoring, constructing or enhancing their properties in a way that respects the urban fabric and contributes to the character of their surroundings. 

Duet had the honor of being a furniture partner to Shechem Community Center, located in the Garden Homes neighborhood. Operated by Hope Street Ministry, the new community center offers the neighborhood a gym, classrooms, café, rooftop garden, and courtyard.

We are honored to be teamed up with an organization that continues to bring great things to the community. In addition to an award-winning space, Shechem also offers a safe place for community members to grow both personally and professionally.
