Our Interior Designers work closely with the sales team to create solutions that will help our clients achieve their goals.

Education
2- or 4-year Degree in Interior Design or Architecture

Experience with CET Configura
Experience with Project Matrix (Project Symbols and Project Spec)

Job Duties/Responsibilities
Work in tandem with the sales team to provide furniture and design solutions for Duet’s clients
Meet with clients (in-person and/or virtually) to discuss project requirements and solutions
Prepare presentation documents to communicate furniture and design solutions (documents include drawings, renderings, photos/images, and information about the products/design
Select and present finishes appropriate for the products and project needs
Prepare drawings with creative solutions, while complying with appropriate dimensions/clearances and building codes
Prepare quotes with discounts communicated with the sales person for the project
Place the order for the furniture solutions you designed for the project
Prepare installation drawings
Attend manufacturer design trainings to stay current on new products
Travel Requirements*
Travel will be required throughout Iowa for in-person client meetings.
Occasional travel throughout Duet’s territory may be required a couple times a year
Travel is planned based on the client’s availability, as well as the salesperson’s and designer’s schedules.
Travel to Milwaukee, WI for our Annual Duet Team Meeting once per year.
*Business-related travel expenses are reimbursed (i.e. mileage per current IRS rate, meals, hotel, flight, parking).
